The Jubilee
Often reffered to as the 'Jube', the Jubilee is upon us once again this year. A chance for local talent and not so local groups to show off their skills in front of hundreds at the New Glasgow water front. The Jubilee is one of the most popular events held in New Glasgow along side different parades, such for Christmas and Canada Day.

This event isn't cheap either, unless of course you are under 12 years of age and can get in for free with an adult. It costs 20 dollars for the evening or 45 dollars for the weekend. It ran from Thursday July 31st until Sunday August 3rd, this year and is often the first weekend in August in other years.

If you're a big fan, the weekend pass is the way to go. Many good memories are had at the jube. Loud music, good food, always trying to get an of age bracelet for the beer grounds, big fights and of course run-ins with the cops. Yes, the jube is certainly a good time had in good old Pictou County.
